Philippine Regions and Provinces


In the Philippines, regions are divisions that serve primarily to organize the provinces of the country for administrative convenience that was called Regions of the Philippines.
Understanding the divisions of Philippine Islands
Basically the Philippines was divided into three group of islands namely Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Each group of islands were divided into regions, each regions were divided into provinces.
Provinces are composed with cities and municipalities including each capitals. Barangay was the last that composes the divisions of land of the Philippines lying in each every cities and municipalities with the lowest rank of overall elected officials.
