THE SILK SCREEN PRINTING PROCESS

Also called Screen Printing process nowadays, a printmaking technique in which a mesh cloth is stretched over a heavy wooden frame and the design, painted on the screen by tusche or affixed by stencil, is printed by having a squeegee force color through the pores of the material in areas not blocked out by a glue sizing. via

Some says that learning this kind of printing technique was easy as abc, but some were struggling to create a simple print on their own. On my own point of view, if you don't have any experience or seminars on this kind of field, you won't be able perfect a simple or a single color print in a snap. You must do a try and error act to perform a good print on your materials for your satisfaction.

One must have the patience and the passion, and also the ability to read, learn and observe to others.

Screen printing books are now hard to acquire, learning from others thru internet are limited but could help. Learning from seminars could help a lot but it will cost you some of your resources.

By clicking the link below, you could download the book The Silk Screen Printing Process book thru PDF by Biegeleisen and Busenbark, that was printed on 1938, 1941 and digitized by The Internet Archive on 2012.
